Diet Types & PLANS
What is The Hollywood Diet? The Hollywood diet is also known as the 24 or the 48 Hour Miracle Diet. It's considered a fad diet because it uses calorie restrictions to create a desired weight loss. Those who try this diet can hope to lose between 5 to 10 pounds after 48 hours. It is a juice fast, which means that the weight one loses will be primarily from the body's natural water balance. How Does The Diet Work? Those participating in the Hollywood Diet must purchase a specially formulated juice drink. The juice drinks come in two sizes, 16 oz and 32 oz, depending on the diet. The 24 Hour Diet requires 16 oz of juice, and the 48 Hour Diet requires 32 oz. The juice is concentrated. The dieter mixes 4 oz of the concentrated juice drink with 4 oz of water. This concoction is then sipped over a 4-hour period of time, and then repeated. The juice drink contains a special blend of antioxidants, fruit and botanical extracts, and vitamins. The juice claims to stimulate metabolism, and to detoxify and cleanse the body. In addition to the juice drink, a dieter should also drink 64 oz of water each day. Dieters cannot eat, and should not smoke, or drink alcohol. How Much Does It Cost?It costs about $7.65 for the 16 oz bottle of juice drink, and $14.99 for the 32 oz. Who Created The Hollywood Diet?Diet counselor Jamie Kabler created the Hollywood Diet after a personal struggle with weight loss. He was inspired to create this juice diet after visiting a European health spa. WarningsThe dieter only takes in 500 calories per day, but according to diet counselors, to maintain a healthy diet, the average person should intake 2,000 calories per day. The restricted caloric intake may leave a dieter feeling tired, weak and with difficulty in concentration. |
